Ahmad and Nora have turned their passion for off-roading into a volunteer mission, helping stranded motorists and families across some of the UAE’s most challenging terrain.
What began as a shared love of off-road driving has grown into a community service that has helped countless people across the UAE.
Ahmad Hiskol and Nigora “Nora” Minikhanova, the founders of BlueRex Offroad Rescue, have been recognised for their volunteer rescue work, receiving the Dunia Helwa Community Hero Award for their efforts to assist stranded motorists and families in some of the country’s most challenging environments.
Over the years, the couple has become well known among the UAE’s off-roading community for responding to emergency situations in deserts, flooded areas and other difficult-to-reach locations. Their rescue missions have included recovering vehicles trapped in sand or submerged during periods of heavy rain, often travelling long distances to help people they have never met.
Their work has attracted attention on social media, where they also share educational content promoting safer and more responsible off-road driving. What started as a hobby has evolved into a mission focused not only on rescuing those in need but also on helping others avoid dangerous situations in the first place.
Speaking after receiving the award, Ahmad Hiskol and Nigora “Nora” Minikhanova said:
