Dubai’s afternoon tea scene has a fresh new addition with the launch of the Coastal, Tropical & Floral Afternoon Tea at The Tea Room, located within the Al Jaddaf Rotana Suite Hotel.
Available from 1 August, the new experience reimagines the traditional afternoon tea by drawing inspiration from coastal landscapes, tropical gardens and floral elegance. The result is a thoughtfully curated menu that blends seafood flavours, tropical fruits and artistic presentation into an afternoon designed for both indulgence and relaxation.
The savoury selection showcases a variety of seafood-inspired creations, including seared scallops served with celeriac purée, tomato jam and balsamic pearls, alongside lemongrass-infused shrimp with tomato tartare and yuzu pearls. Guests can also enjoy smoked salmon balls, crab cakes with smoked paprika aioli, and parmesan seafood praline paired with truffle saffron mayonnaise.
Adding a signature twist to the experience are the venue’s distinctive black ink scones, served with mangosteen lime jelly and chive cream.
Desserts continue the tropical theme with an assortment of colourful sweet treats. Highlights include mango and coconut mousse, tiramisu, handcrafted chocolate creations inspired by sea life, delicate macarons, and a pavlova nest topped with mascarpone cream and passion fruit pearls.
Priced at AED 150 per person, the afternoon tea is designed for everything from leisurely catch-ups with friends to intimate celebrations or a relaxing afternoon in one of Dubai’s elegant hotel lounges.
