Planning a holiday to Saudi Arabia is set to become much easier. Saudi has introduced Package Visa, a new digital initiative that integrates tourist visa applications directly into travel bookings, reducing the number of steps required to visit the Kingdom.
The initiative is being rolled out through qualified travel and tourism providers in selected international markets before a wider global launch.
Instead of booking flights, hotels, and a tourist visa separately, eligible travelers will be able to complete the process through a single booking platform. Depending on the package, visitors can also add events, attractions, and tourism experiences, creating a more seamless travel journey from planning to arrival.
The launch is part of Saudi’s broader strategy to make the country more accessible to international visitors. In recent years, the Kingdom has expanded its visa options beyond the tourist e-Visa to include visa-on-arrival and the Stopover Transit Visa, helping fuel rapid tourism growth. Saudi welcomed more than 29 million inbound visitors in 2025, reflecting its growing appeal as a global leisure destination.
His Excellency Ahmed Al Khateeb, Saudi’s Minister of Tourism, said the new initiative is designed to improve the visitor experience while strengthening collaboration across the tourism sector.

By integrating visa issuance with travel bookings, we are simplifying the visitor journey and creating a more connected travel experience. This initiative also strengthens collaboration across the tourism ecosystem and supports Saudi’s position as an increasingly accessible global destination.”
For travel providers, the system offers an opportunity to create more comprehensive holiday packages that encourage visitors to stay longer and explore more of the country. Package Visa will only be available through approved travel and tourism companies that meet defined service standards and provide 24/7 customer support.
The initiative aligns with Saudi’s ambition to position itself as one of the world’s fastest-growing tourism destinations, making it easier for international travelers to discover the Kingdom’s cultural heritage, natural landscapes, entertainment offerings, and luxury hospitality experiences.
