InnerG Brings A New Community-Focused Fitness Concept To Abu Dhabi

The UAE homegrown studio opens at Space42 Arena in Al Raha, bringing movement, wellness, coffee and family-friendly programming under one roof.

Abu Dhabi’s fitness scene has a new homegrown addition with the opening of InnerG at Space42 Arena in Al Raha. Co-founded by Rafif Tarek Alhassen, the studio brings together multiple forms of movement under one roof, with a focus on community, choice and making fitness part of everyday life.

Built around the philosophy “Energy in Motion,” InnerG offers a broad programme spanning Reformer Pilates, yoga, mat Pilates, dance, HIIT, boxing, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, mobility, stretching, breathwork, sound healing and strength-based training.

Rather than centering the experience around a single discipline, the studio organizes its offerings across four pillars: Groove, Glow, Grit and Growth. Groove focuses on dance and creative expression, Glow brings together mindful movement and wellness, Grit draws on combat, discipline and resilience, while Growth is centred on Reformer Pilates.

“With InnerG, we wanted to create a community where there is something for everyone, where people can come together and experience movement in a way that feels personal to them,” says Alhassen. “It isn’t about defining one way to move; it’s about giving people different ways to move, connect and grow, all within one community.”

A Studio Designed Around Family Life

Opening during the UAE’s Year of the Family, InnerG is also positioning itself as a space where fitness can fit more naturally into family routines.

Adult and children’s programmes are designed to run alongside one another, allowing parents and children to take part in different activities at the same time while remaining within the same community environment.

For Head of Operations Isabella Brandstotter, creating that sense of welcome extends beyond the classes themselves.

“From the studio environment and class experience to the smallest operational details, our goal has been to create a space where people feel genuinely welcomed and supported,” she says. “We want every visit to reflect the sense of community that defines InnerG.”

Coffee After The Workout

The InnerG experience also extends into food and beverage through Omni, an independent specialty coffee brand founded by Alhassen.

Omni focuses on specialty coffee, with a rotating selection of beans and roasters from around the world chosen for their individual profiles. The offering also includes ceremonial matcha and functional smoothies made with clean ingredients.

With its first Abu Dhabi studio now open, InnerG is aiming to create more than a traditional fitness destination, bringing different generations and interests together around movement, wellness and community.
