GCC travellers are staying longer, spending more, and increasingly choosing larger accommodation in Dubai, according to data from Mileo The Palm Hotel, Dubai where regional guests account for 45 per cent of room nights.
Travellers from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, and Oman represent the hotel’s top four GCC markets.
Compared to the other guest base, regional guests stay for an average of three nights or more while spending approximately 20 percent more.
The hotel said most GCC bookings are for suites or larger room categories, reflecting demand from families for additional space, privacy, and flexibility.
Rooms in the hotel are approximately 30 percent larger than standard accommodation, with fitted kitchenettes across all room categories.
According to Hossam Nabil, General Manager of Mileo The Palm, regional guests are increasingly considering the wider hotel experience. They look beyond rooms and want to explore dining, wellness, leisure, and other family facilities.
The property offers private beach access, pool experiences, a spa, a gym, and a kids’ club, alongside seven food and beverage concepts catering to different preferences and occasions.
The hotel said this combination of residential-style accommodation and on-site amenities is supporting demand from regional travellers who increasingly view the hotel as a destination in itself.
Mileo The Palm expects GCC travel to remain an important contributor to Dubai’s hospitality sector.
