The Gulf opens the new season with four consecutive weeks of professional golf before the Race to Dubai returns to the UAE for its November finale
Dubai, UAE: 16 September 2026: Golf will take centre stage across the GCC in early 2027, with six tournaments included on the newly announced DP World Tour global schedule.
The Gulf leg begins in Abu Dhabi in January before moving through Dubai, Bahrain and Qatar, with four consecutive weeks of professional golf across the region.
The season opens with the Team Cup at Abu Dhabi Golf Resort from January 15 to 17. The action then moves to Emirates Golf Club for the 38th Hero Dubai Desert Classic, running from January 21 to 24.
The Bapco Energies Bahrain Championship follows at Royal Golf Club from January 28 to 31, before the Qatar Masters at Doha Golf Club from February 3 to 6 completes the International Swing’s Middle East leg.
The UAE finale
The DP World Tour will return to the UAE later in the year for the final two events of the Race to Dubai.
The Abu Dhabi Championship will take place at Yas Links from November 4 to 7, followed by the DP World Tour Championship, Dubai, at the Earth Course at Jumeirah Golf Estates from November 11 to 14.
The latter will determine the winner of the Race to Dubai.
The Hero Dubai Desert Classic, Abu Dhabi Championship and DP World Tour Championship, Dubai will also make the UAE host to three of the DP World Tour’s five Rolex Series events in 2027.
The other two are the Genesis Scottish Open in July and the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth Club in September.
A global season
The 2027 DP World Tour schedule features a minimum of 42 tournaments across 24 countries, with 17 national Opens included in the calendar.
Three historic tournaments will return: the Hong Kong Open, Deutsche Bank Singapore Open and Open de Portugal|Cascais-Lisboa.
The Hong Kong Open and Singapore Open will be co-sanctioned with the Asian Tour as part of a new partnership involving the DP World Tour, Asian Tour and PGA Tour.
The schedule also includes revised dates for several tournaments because of the 2027 Ryder Cup, which will take place at Adare Manor in Ireland from September 17 to 19.
Guy Kinnings, Chief Executive of the DP World Tour, said the schedule gives players opportunities to compete internationally while allowing fans to follow the Tour across different markets.
For the GCC, that means another year of high-profile professional golf spread across four countries, with the UAE once again providing both the opening stages of the season and its Race to Dubai finale.
