Rifq Home Care, a new UAE-based service founded by Asma Al Fahim, is taking a flexible approach to this changing landscape, allowing families to arrange professional caregiving support around their individual routines and needs.

Care that goes beyond supervision
Rifq has a particular focus on newborn and childcare, with caregivers trained to support families with newborn care, child development and everyday routines.
According to the company, its caregivers are childcare certified, BLS and First Aid certified, experienced and background checked.
The service also incorporates Montessori-inspired play into its approach. Caregivers are trained to use purposeful, age-appropriate activities designed to encourage curiosity, independence and engagement, with activities adapted to each child’s age, interests and routine.

Al Fahim says Rifq was created around the belief that family care should be able to adapt as circumstances change.
“Every family is different, and the support they need can look very different from one day or one stage of life to the next. We created Rifq to give families more freedom to choose care around their own lives, whether that is a few hours of help when they need it most or someone who becomes a more regular and familiar presence at home.”
The service is structured around four options. Hourly Care is designed for shorter periods of support, while Day Care provides dedicated assistance for a full day. Weekly Care offers families greater consistency through regular visits, while Monthly Care provides longer-term support tailored to the household.
The flexibility is particularly relevant to modern family life in the UAE, where parents may find their childcare and household needs changing from one stage to the next. A family may need occasional support during a particularly busy period, for example, before moving to a more regular arrangement as work, school or family circumstances evolve.
