Chery UAE, represented by AWR Automotive under AWR Group, has officially launched its first-ever pickup truck in the country, introducing the all-new HIMAVA to the UAE market.
Positioned as a rugged, go-anywhere vehicle, the HIMAVA is designed to meet the demands of both adventure seekers and working professionals, combining durability, performance and modern technology tailored for the region’s diverse driving conditions.
The pickup features a bold exterior design highlighted by a polygonal front grille and honeycomb detailing, along with a body structure composed of up to 52.2% high-strength steel and nearly 48% galvanised steel for enhanced durability and corrosion resistance. Buyers can choose from a range of exterior colours including white, black, silver, green and red, paired with a black and brown interior.
Under the hood, the HIMAVA offers two powertrain options. The Comfort trim is equipped with a 2.4-litre gasoline engine producing 158 hp with a 5-speed manual gearbox and 4WD, while the Luxury trim features a 2.3-litre turbo-diesel engine delivering 160 hp with an 8-speed automatic transmission and 4WD.
Built for capability, the pickup delivers up to 3 tons of towing capacity and an advanced four-wheel-drive system designed to handle desert dunes, rocky terrain and steep inclines with confidence.
Inside, the cabin is designed for practicality and comfort, featuring a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 6-way adjustable driver seat and support for both wired and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Safety features include up to four airbags, ABS, EBD, BAS, ASR, electronic parking brake, hill-start assist and a rear parking camera with sensors.
Commenting on the launch, Zaher Sabbagh said the HIMAVA reflects Chery’s focus on building vehicles that respond to customer needs while adapting to the UAE’s unique driving environment.
The HIMAVA is now available for test drives across Chery UAE showrooms in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.
