Visitors can enjoy guided tours, camel feeding, factory visits and camel milk tastings during a free one-day event on 22 June.
Residents and visitors will have the chance to step inside one of the UAE’s most unique agricultural attractions when Camelicious opens its Dubai farm to the public for the first time in celebration of World Camel Day on 22 June.
The free Open Farm Day will offer a behind-the-scenes look at what Camelicious says is the world’s largest camel dairy operation, giving visitors an opportunity to learn how camel milk is produced while exploring the role camels continue to play in the UAE’s heritage and food industry.
Guests can expect guided tours of the farm, camel feeding experiences, factory viewing areas and camel milk tastings. The event will also feature camel milk-based treats and complimentary Camelicious ice cream.
Home to nearly 7,000 camels, the Dubai farm produces around three million litres of camel milk each year, supplying the UAE market while also exporting to international destinations.
The event aims to give visitors a better understanding of how camel farming has evolved in the UAE, combining traditional knowledge with modern agricultural practices. It also highlights the growing interest in locally produced food and greater transparency in how food reaches consumers.
Camel milk has long been part of the region’s cultural heritage, but in recent years it has also gained international attention for its nutritional profile and as part of the UAE’s broader focus on food security and agricultural innovation.
World Camel Day, observed annually on 22 June, celebrates the historical and cultural significance of camels in many parts of the world, particularly across the Middle East, where they have played an important role in transport, trade and daily life for centuries.
The Open Farm Day will take place on 22 June, with complimentary guided tours available through advance registration.
