Lebanese-Latin flavours, free-flowing drinks and world music set the tone for a Saturday that moves from brunch to late afternoon after-party.
If your idea of a Saturday brunch involves more than a leisurely meal, Soul Kitchen Dubai is bringing back its Big Bad Brunch, a four-hour celebration of food, drinks and music at its Business Bay venue.
Running every Saturday from 12pm to 4pm, the brunch takes Soul Kitchen’s Lebanese-Latin identity and turns it into a lively weekend experience, with live food stations, grilled meats, cocktails, wines, beers and a DJ-led soundtrack.
A menu built for grazing
The experience begins at the Raw Bar & Ceviche Live Station, followed by a Cold Mezze Station and a selection of hot starters. Among the highlights are Pumpkin Kibbeh with chipotle and tahina and Zaatar Pão de Queijo with harissa and tomato dip, bringing together the restaurant’s Lebanese influences with Latin American touches.
The main course centres on chef-selected grilled meats, served with an assortment of sides and house-made sauces. A Live Dessert Station rounds things off with rotating mini desserts and ice cream.
Pick your brunch style
There are four packages, depending on how you want to spend the afternoon. The Designated Driver Package costs AED 225 and includes non-alcoholic cocktails. The BB Package, at AED 395, includes cocktails, wines and beers, while the BBB Package at AED 495 adds a premium selection of alcoholic beverages, including Champagne.
For those more interested in the music and social side of the afternoon, the Mingling Package, from AED 395, provides access to the bar and DJ area.
Drinks include Soul Kitchen signatures such as the Blood Orange Spritz, Coriander Paloma, SK Michelada, Mastiha Basil, Mango Rum Highball, Espresso Martini and Passion Fruit Martini, alongside house wines.
From brunch to after-party
The Saturday doesn’t necessarily end when the brunch does. From 4pm onwards, guests can move into Reunion, Soul Kitchen’s intimate underground club room, for the venue’s after-party.
Music is central to the Soul Kitchen experience, with the venue’s programme spanning DJs, live jazz and global sounds. The Big Bad Brunch follows that same music-led approach, making the transition from afternoon dining to evening drinks feel less like a change of plans and more like a continuation of the day.
Big Bad Brunch takes place every Saturday from 12pm to 4pm, followed by the Reunion After Party from 4pm until closing at Soul Kitchen, Business Bay.
