Limited to 150 examples, the new Q by Aston Martin creation combines 850PS, a lightweight carbon-fibre body and an intensely focused chassis with a bespoke luxury interior.
Aston Martin has unveiled Valen, a new limited-production V12 supercar created by its bespoke Q by Aston Martin division. Revealed in Monterey, California, the model is positioned as the most powerful front-engined production car from the marque in its 113-year history.
With just 150 examples planned worldwide, Valen pushes Aston Martin’s front-engined formula into more extreme territory, pairing a 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12 with a lightweight construction, track-focused chassis tuning and an extensively reworked design.
850PS and a 214mph top speed
At the heart of Valen is Aston Martin’s 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12, now producing 850PS and 1,000Nm of torque from 2,500rpm. The powertrain is paired with a sharper-shifting eight-speed ZF transmission, incorporating shift strategies developed through Aston Martin’s Vantage GT4 racing programme.
The result is a claimed 0-60mph time of 3.0 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 214mph.
Three performance modes, Sport, Sport+ and Track, alter the car’s throttle response and dynamic character. Sport and Sport+ prioritise an earlier, more immediate delivery, while Track mode offers a longer and more progressive throttle response intended to provide greater precision at the limit.
Losing weight, adding character
Performance gains are not solely about power. Aston Martin has focused heavily on reducing Valen’s mass, with the car shedding up to 110kg compared with the brand’s existing core V12 platform.
Carbon fibre, aluminium, titanium and magnesium are used throughout the car. A lightweight option package adds machined-from-solid aluminium suspension components and titanium chassis bolts, saving a further 16.9kg.
Lightweight magnesium wheels come as standard, while specially developed Pirelli tyres are tuned for the car’s balance between road usability and track capability. Valen also incorporates Pirelli’s Cyber Tyre technology, which provides real-time tyre data to the car’s dynamic control systems.
The chassis receives extensive revisions, including model-specific springs, Bilstein DTX semi-active dampers and a solid-mounted rear subframe. Steering, braking, suspension and stability-control systems have all been recalibrated to give Valen a sharper and more connected character.
A soundtrack to match
A bespoke titanium exhaust system adds another layer to the experience. The lightweight system uses micro mufflers and four 3D-printed titanium tailpipe finishers arranged in a distinctive two-level configuration.
The upper outlets remain open, while the lower pipes are controlled according to the selected drive mode. Aston Martin has also tuned the system to emphasise higher frequencies as engine speed rises, creating a more dramatic V12 soundtrack.
A more provocative Aston Martin
Visually, Valen represents a significant departure from Aston Martin’s familiar front-engined design language.
Its front end features deeply recessed, slim headlamps beneath a sharply descending bonnet, while an angular grille, geometric mesh and pronounced splitter give the car a more aggressive stance.
Large functional side vents replace the traditional side strake treatment, while sculpted sills and vortex generators help manage airflow underneath the car.
At the rear, a solid tailgate replaces the conventional rear window and trunk lid. An integrated aerodynamic wing works with the full-width light bar and rear diffuser to generate downforce without resorting to a large motorsport-style rear wing.
The show car is finished in Satin Andromeda Red, a Q Ultra-developed finish that shifts between deep red, copper and golden tones, with blue undertones emerging in different lighting conditions.
Customers can also specify a fully exposed carbon-fibre exterior, including bespoke tinted carbon finishes developed with the Q by Aston Martin team.
Inside the Valen
The cabin follows the same philosophy of visual lightness and driver focus.
A slim, angled centre console creates a more cockpit-like environment, incorporating 3D-printed elements and a performance-focused switchpack derived from the Valhalla.
Buyers can choose between newly developed Sports Plus seats, designed to balance support and long-distance comfort, and lightweight carbon-fibre performance seats.
Personalisation remains central to the Q by Aston Martin experience. Interior specifications range from Semi-Aniline Leather and Alcantara combinations to full Semi-Aniline Leather, with multiple material layouts and options for contrasting colours and driver-focused detailing.
The cabin also incorporates 3D-printed components inspired by the car’s exterior cooling vents, while a newly angled central touchscreen sits within the pared-back dashboard architecture.
An exclusive new chapter for Q by Aston Martin
Valen is the latest in a series of limited-production creations from Q by Aston Martin, following models including Valour, Valiant and DBR22. The project was delivered with the expertise of Aston Martin’s newly formed Special Vehicle Operations department.
The name itself comes from the Latin valens, meaning “strong” or “powerful”, continuing Aston Martin’s long-running tradition of giving its special models names beginning with “V”.
Production will be limited to 150 cars worldwide, with first customer deliveries scheduled for the second quarter of 2027.
For Aston Martin, Valen is less a new member of the regular range than an opportunity to explore just how far its front-engined V12 formula can be pushed, while retaining the craftsmanship and personalisation expected from its most exclusive cars.
